Now teaching, coaching, writing and lecturing

Hello,

I hope this brief update finds you well.

I have recently transitioned into teaching and writing, all based upon my lifelong research. Both my research and recent transition have been kept quiet, intentionally, until now.

We all have goals that have felt too stuck, too big or too hard, for too long. All of us. Including me. Including you. Including every human. But why?

After 30+ years of digging and four years of teaching others, I am now sharing the revelations I’ve uncovered with you, with friends, acquaintances and family.

(Average reading time: 2 minutes)

For many, their list of stuck goals includes some aspect of:

  • body or health, or self-image, to be thinner, stronger, feel better, etc.;
  • income, wealth and/or wealth protection, to increase income or wealth or better protect it;
  • career or business, to move up the ladder or grow/launch/evolve a business;
  • joy, freedom, fulfillment, passion, loving life, to simply live a more pleasing, engaging life.

For some, their list focuses on a world championship, or Olympic gold, or perhaps an Oscar, Laureus, Grammy or Juno, or Emmy, or some other triumph. For others, there are relationships they want to improve or assistance they want to convey to others. There are countless examples; every human has their own unique list.

Struggle is unnatural and unnecessary. We’ve all come to believe that some goals are harder to achieve than others. That’s simply not true. All goals are equally easy to achieve.

Over the coming months and beyond, I will introduce my research findings using emails like this. There will be no manipulation, no hyperbole, no self-promotion and nothing salesy.

Notes will be brief, informative, thought-provoking, factual and accurate. They will challenge your understanding of how we achieve our goals. If you open your mind and heart, they will help you achieve your stuck goals.

And what answers have I uncovered? In the interests of brevity, for now I will leave you with the Myth and the Reality.

Myth: We humans achieve our goals based upon our work, effort, sacrifice, struggle and toil, along with tenacity and intelligence, and some good timing and good luck.

Reality: It is our habitual thoughts, and it is only ever our habitual thoughts, that determine how readily we achieve our goals. Our actions are merely by-products, outputs, not inputs.

We are all incredibly successful and have each achieved literally millions of large and small goals throughout our lifetimes. And yet, we all have a few goals, a few things we’ve wanted, that have felt too stuck, too big or too hard, for too long. Why are those few goals so elusive?

I hope you will consider a new approach. I hope you will consider that it’s at least possible that the Reality (see above) is indeed accurately labelled.

Hopefully, you’ve found something herein to ponder.

Until next time…

Stephen Southern
